Lucia Marcz is a Los Angeles–based contemporary artist whose practice explores the relationship between permanence, material, and cultural memory through sculpture. Working primarily with concrete, metal, and industrial processes, Marcz transforms recognizable luxury objects into enduring artifacts that blur the boundaries between design, archaeology, and contemporary sculpture. By recasting symbols of status in permanent materials, her work examines how objects accumulate meaning and invites viewers to reconsider value, history, and preservation. Marcz earned her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
